As many of you may know, the former students of George Scanlon have spearheaded setting up a student prize in his name. They have raised slightly more than half of the $50K minimum needed to establish the endowment for the Scanlon student prize ($25,613). This is largely thanks to the generosity of the Estate of George T. Scanlon.

The most important bit of information is that you need to specify “George T. Scanlon Student Award” in the memo line if giving by check, or in the box labeled “other” if making a contribution online.
